Denis Villeneuve's third Dune film returned to Hungary, continuing the franchise's relationship with Budapest stages, locations and crews that began with Dune and Dune: Part Two. The production has been publicly associated with large-format IMAX filmmaking and a returning ensemble led by Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya.

3 Body Problem (Netflix)

Netflix returned its flagship science-fiction series to Hungary for its next production cycle — another major, effects-heavy show leaning on Budapest's stages and crew base.

Keanu Reeves in Ruben Östlund's The Entertainment System Is Down

The Palme d'Or–winning director brought The Entertainment System Is Down to Hungary with an ensemble including Keanu Reeves, Kirsten Dunst and Daniel Brühl. Much of the film plays out on a long-haul aircraft, and the production built its set around a real wide-body fuselage — a distinctive addition to the recent Budapest slate.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Kelly's Heroes

A new take on Kelly's Heroes has been announced with Arnold Schwarzenegger attached, with Hungary in frame for production — the kind of large-scale period war picture the country's backlots, plains and construction crews are built for.

A cat-and-mouse heist drama co-produced by Skydance Television and Anonymous Content has been shooting in Budapest for Apple TV+.
